Which gamer doesn’t dream to become the game developer? It’s my story too. I fall in love with video games from the moment my parents bought the first computer. And I always wanted more…
It seemed to me, that I saw the flaws literally in every game I played… and I thought that I knew how to fix them. Eh… If only I had the needed knowledge. All those programming skills if you know what I mean.
The Gamest Studio is the attempt to bring that dream to life. I started to look for information about game developing and realized that there are lots of happy people who are able not only to create games, but also to make substantial sums of money thanks to their hobby. It sounded fantastic and I decided to join the club.
Back in 2010 flash was the most prospective technology for creating small games. But the fact that flash games could be developed by one person (independent game developer or indie) was even more impressive. That is why I started to learn the flash programming language ActionScript 3 and make my first steps in the game development field.
At this point I have made three completed games and I’m currently working on one big game project. It’s not so much for 1.5 years, but it’s a start.
I’ve created this site not only to be able to showcase my games to players and sponsors, but also to gather the community of like-minded people, who love gaming and share the desire to create games. I will do my best to post frequently and share knowledge about game development in The Gamest Blog.
If you like the idea of this project, don’t hesitate to subscribe to The Gamest Blog RSS feed. It’s the most convenient way to receive recent updates.
P.S.: The fact that English is not my native language is one of the biggest challenges for me. Hope that frequent posting will help me to increase language skills. So, if you find it possible, please send the most “ugly” mistakes to my e-mail: jarofed(at)gmail.com. Thank you in advance.
Hi Iaroslav. Your english is very good so don’t worry about that. I’ve just finished playing When i was young and really enjoyed it. The idea for the game is brilliant. The only problem is that i think the game is too short.Keep up the good work
Thank you for nice words, Josie. The game is short because I have only 1 week to work on it. This game was created for the russian contest of quick game development.
But I’m thinking about the possibility of making the sequel of it.
